Dad was in charge of games for the opening of the "Man Cave". This is the bottom floor of the small building by the Church that had been used as a refreshment booth for ball games but has now been turned into a canning area. Dad went all out in planning about 12 contests with candy bar prizes: skip-bo, stilts, tossing tennis balls into buckets, hula hoop, the kid roller coaster, and the funnest part- the green bike. There was food for people to can or mylar pack, a BBQ at noon, and here's the representative from the Hormel Company giving out breakfast of spam & eggs! Quite the celebration!!!

Looks like a lot of fun - was there a good turnout?
Not many people there at the beginning, but dad said about 125 to 150 for the lunch. Isn't it amazing what free lunch brings???
Love the Spam shirt! ;-)
