With "SPAMDAD" at the Arizona State Fair

SPAMDAD was the most popular person at the fair!
At least 30 people thought he was with the
Spammobile!!! The workers inside the mobile
even took DAD's picture!!!

Mom finally got to see the beautiful Clydesdale
horse! It was huuuuuuuuge!

We saw the Wild West Turkey Stampede. Here is
"Turk-ules"- a 7 month old, 59 pound
tom turkey!!! Obviously, he only waddled
around. Think of those drumsticks!

Carole found & loved the rocks- this was a
gorgeous geode.

Are we at the State Fair or at Disneyland???
This is at the Kodak booth. What cute girls.

Is this for real...
are mom & dad racing at the
Figure 8 Car Race? Nope, it's just
another Kodak moment although
we did watch the real car race from
the grandstand.

Pretty ladies with their fans. After saving up
money, they spent it at the fair!
Miriam, Emma, and Sydney

After being deprived as a child and never having
gotten his own "drum bone", Don finally got a
huge one at the fair. Enough for him & to share
with the rest of us. We also enjoyed the
traditional Piggly Fries & fried zucchini.

The end of a very fun night. Only one year to
wait for the next state fair!

Back To Work

Is dad studying to be Jewish????

I call him a little Jewish boy but nope...

here are a couple pictures after the

surgery with big pressure bandages. Dad

says that his head still throbs, even with

taking percoset! He did go to work for the

whole day on Tuesday.

The Birthday "STAR"

We had a fun birthday for dad- his 65th!
Don & Adrianne & kids & Carole came for
the birthday dinner, presents, & dessert.
The kids loved the noise makers at the
dinner table & the streamer poppers
afterwards!

Next it was time to open presents- Carole gave dad Thomas the Train Big Loader set. Dad & Elijah have something in common- they both
looooove Big Loaders! Elijah was so excited
because he thought that this was his from
his birthday...he grabbed that box
and just laughed & ran!

Dad loved the card from Mark- what a
thoughtful missionary!

Nothing could be better than playing with the
two Big Loader sets (1 old one missing an engine
& 1 new with a working engine) while
listening to Harry Potter unless...

...it is "playing" with your REAL gyroscope!
Dad has wanted one for a very long time!
(The basket of Heath candy- dad's favorite-
and the ballons were delivered to the
"Birthday Star" at work where everyone
enjoyed the treats & dad was embarrassed!!)
