Girls' Tea Party and Slumber Night

With Mark and Mandy staying at our house and Mandy asking about having a "Tea Party", I decided to combine that with an overnight since most of the kids can only have a slumber party at a relative's house. It was fun for everyone to dress up with costumes and lots and lots of jewelry and even glasses. Brenley absolutely LOVED her Hello Kitty glasses.

Hannah was an adorable cherub.

There were lots of goodies to munch on. Mandy made special cucumber/cream cheese sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches. Plus there were cookies and candy and crackers that Ruth brought. We did forgo the tea this time since it was summer and instead had root beer. Carole took time off work to be with us- she sure gets involved in our activities.

And while the girls partied, Mark and Dad talked computers. We did share the treats with them though.

At night, the girls got ready for bed and then watched part of Freaky Friday. And what did their parents do??? Go out for a fun night and dinner.

In the morning, Dad took people for a walk. They needed to go early because of the heat.

They came home to "monkey pancakes" with chocolate chip eyes and mouth. What a fun time.
