Phoenix Storm!

Here are some pictures of the results of the storm we had last Saturday night. It toppled trees (like the beautiful Chinese Elm at the Tate's house) and blew over palms. It pulled many of the trees up by their roots. Luckily, we did not lose power like so many others did and there was no damage to our home. The Nay's were without electricity for about 12 hours and there was a path on Greenway where a lot of destruction was done. In fact, block fences were blown down! Now that is quite a gust of wind!!! I heard that we even got over an inch of rain in just a couple hours. People are still cleaning up. The electricity was out at the Church but we were glad that it came back on in time to cool things down for our 1:00 block meeting!
