Happy Birthday, Dad!!!

On Saturday we celebrated Dad's birfday with Don &
Adrianne's family & Carole. They came over early so we
could eat before Priesthood session. Dad graciously was
the chef with hot dogs & hamburgers & Carole got a kick
out of Dad wearing Sunday pants :)

It was a pretty good feast- besides the meat we had
corn, salad, funeral potatoes, & a great fruit salad.

Miriam provided some entertainment when I asked
her to demonstrate how she can raise just ONE
eyebrow. She was hard to catch on the camera, though
if you look closely at the right side, you can tell
the start of this special talent!

After dinner, Dad & Don took off to Priesthood Meeting.
After they got home we had the birthday dessert- Marie's
German Chocolate pie & Lemon Meringue pie. YUM!
The number of candles was just symbolic, as was the pose
since Samuel was too quick in helping blow out candles.

Even though Dad has asked for NO birthday
presents, he did get this one. As you can see,
it was NOT wrapped!!! But still a fun thing to
get just before your birthday!
