so much to do. We saw who was the first into the pool
(warm weather made swimming possible even though it
was October!).

Will had fun using the bucket to haul lunch up
to the fort...

while Ben helped fix up the fort & even painted
the inside with grandpa.

Adrianne & Miriam, Becky & Sarah, Carole & I all enjoyed
our Wednesday night Girls Night Out together by getting
perfume samples from Sephora, stuffing ourselves at
Souper Salad Buffet, and checking out books at Half Price
Books. In fact, each person found something to buy!

Sydney & Emma stayed overnight for the special fire
Ben & Carole built in the back yard so we could enjoy
hot dogs & the super-huge marshmellows Carole brought
for s'mores. That was followed by wii games inside.

The girls had fun in the doll room & we had a girls
only Tea Party with special sandwiches & wafer
cookies & "Sugar Cookie Tea" (with NO caffeine, of
course).

Alice loved using "Alice's Dishes"- a set of china dishes
that my mother, Alice D., had as a little girl so the dishes
are now almost 100 years old!

One of the fun activites was the Az State Fair.
We met up with Don & Adrianne & kids to see
lots of animals, to watch the hypnotist, to see the
figure 8 race cars, to play games (thanks to Carole),
to ride the bumper cars. It only added to the fun
to get lots of FREE rides!!!

A late & busy Friday night doesn't slow down the kids-
or make them tired. On Saturday, Will got extra
protection while playing tetherball.

And of course, there was swimming again.
Grandpa had fun throwing coins in the pool- Alice
made a good haul!

What a great time together & what fun memories we
have. Here is a short clip from the bumper car ride
at the fair.
