Putting Up the Christmas Decorations
A very unusual event this year- Christmas decorations and lights put up in November! This was also so much fun because the 4 oldest Nay girls came over to help do the tree decorations again. This is getting to be a tradition and it does really help me. It was fascinating to me to hear one of the girls talk in November about how they had helped do the decorations and how much fun it was. This was Olivia's first year to be invited and was a test to see if she was old enough. She passed!
Here is the 5 of us with the tree. Brenley helped Olivia with the bottom 1/3, Evie got the middle 1/3, and tall Savannah got the top 1/3 with the very, very special antique ornaments from my family (some over 70 years old)! And I am happy to report that NONE broke!
Of course, we had some treats afterwards and then they looked through the special books to find the hidden things. This will be a great year because we will have almost 4 weeks of having the house decorated and Christmas-y looking.
This last picture is of Olivia and the black eye that she just got. It really is much more colorful than it looks. She was on the swing, tried to jump off and fell, and the swing came back and hit her!
