On December 31st, we had a family "Red Solo Cup Party" aka Celebrating Mike's Birthday aka New Year's Eve Party. With the Nays, the Mesa Crocketts, Carole, and us, it was a fun group. Mike and Alissa gave us red solo cups plus plates, silverware, napkins, streamers- all the stuff needed for a party. And so we did...party. The house looked festive and fun and filled with food!
Carole made a hit with especially the kids since she brought fireworks.
Ruth planned "Minute To Win It" game- here Miriam and I see who could be first to pull all the kleenex out of the box one at a time. This sure gave my gimpy arm a workout.
Emma had the challenge to move the red solo cups up the stack to get to the original cup.
Carole and Adrianne had to stack 6 die on a popsicle stick and hold it for 3 seconds- harder than it sounds.
Don had to blow a card to the edge of the table and have it hang there. And he did it!
Sydney tries to do it also. Close but not quite.
Our neighbors came out to see the fireworks and joined our group. Then they even came in to enjoy the games and some great dessert with us. Here Dad and Drew try to have the cookie move from their foreheads to their mouths- no one was successful at this.
The last game was to take all that kleenex and make individual snowballs to throw at the other team. The spots on the picture are not from a faulty camera- that is flying kleenex snowballs! After the dessert and some visiting, we played a candy bar game- everyone loved this.
And Brenley and Myra have fun playing in the empty bookcases and peeking at each other and striking poses. This was a great night and so much fun that we want to make this party a tradition.

It should definitely be a tradition. What a fun night! Minute to win it was super-fun, but I think I should practice some of the games in advance.
i'm glad you documented this. now we can just look back at the pictures when we're planning for next time.
So fun to see our Western Family plates in your home :) Looks fun!
