Rachel and Ben and girls came from Virgina. (Don't you love those red Sea Salt Sandals?)
It was a good time for two sisters to visit and catch up on the news (Ruth with Brenley and Rachel with Lily).
Caroline thinks this breakfast was great!
We gathered at the beach while we waited for the check-in time at the hotel. There were 38 of us- what a group.
Adelyn, Anna, and Savannah play in the waves. What fun.
The guys dig in the sand to build a castle (Ben, Will, Nate, and Mark). Will they beat the tide?

Oh, no! Two heads on the sand! Oh, it's Evie and Savannah buried.
Evie tests the boogie board. She looks like a blonde-haired, blue-eyed California girl, not one born in Alaska!
Finally it was time to check in at our villas at the Marriott resort at the Newport Coast.
The ocean was right across the street.
We start exploring this fancy place. Dad gets thirsty and stops to get a drink. (Is this for real or a set-up for the picture? Evie isn't sure.)
Mom loves the koi. They are just like the kind Grandpa Demiris had- brings back lots of memories.
Carole keeps the kids running ahead to light posts. Savannah, Anna, and Evie go on the "walk".
Friday night was the girls' Beach Party. There was lots of lei's, nail polish, and treats!

Alice makes a "Beach Cupcake". Yum!

Saturday found Don's family (plus Savannah) at the pool where
Don bought snow cone treats for everyone to share. Others
went to the beach again.
Dad plays with Savannah in the pool. It was the 12th anniversary for this Marriott and they had lots of the play balls in the pool.
On Saturday night Tim and Becky enjoy the area by the BBQ's.
Mom and Dad provided nacho's for a snack. Yum!
Carole gathers all the kids for story time with glow sticks. Only the person with the "talking stick" can give the next story part. Carole also has special neon glasses. What a great night and a fun reunion so far!!!
