"Night At The Museum"

Dad & I had a fun Friday night with Carole at the Phoenix
Art Museum. There was a display which was almost over of
Ansel Adams' works and we wanted to see that. One of the first
pictures he took of a man was as the mound he was standing on
collapsed and he took the picture upside down as he fell.
Amazingly, it still turned out great & we viewed it right
side up! We each picked our favorites and these were the winners-

Mount McKinley & Wonder Lake at Denali Natl. Park in Alaska- 1947.
This was a hard picture to get since it is not usually clear enough
weather. Besides being a very pretty picture, this reminded us of
Mark's mission.

This was also in the most popular vote- The Tetons & Snake
River at Grand Teton Natl. Park- 1948.

We took the time to go around the museum & check out
a couple other fun exhibits- this is the one Carole liked.
It looks like some of the glass is half-floating, and if you
look carefully, you can see Carole's reflection!

As you get off the elevator on the 2nd floor, there is this
computer generated tree that moves in the wind during
the 4 seasons. Here I am in the Springtime.

Dad liked this permanent exhibit of charcoal from a
church in Texas that lightning struck. It is called "Mass"
which could either be taken religiously or physically since
the pieces look like a more solid center & thinner at the
edges.

Before we started our tour of the museum, we got to
hear a steel drum band play in the garden area. What
a very fun night.

Very artistic arrangement on the photos. I love to see the artwork and enjoy the atmosphere at the museum.
