at the Civic Center downtown on Friday night & then again
on Saturday along with 1800 other women. About 15 came
from Puerto Rico! A bunch from Texas! Some from California!
I felt like some of my favorite speakers & music performers
were there. I had wanted to hear Jenny Oaks Baker play,
and she is super good. She graduated from Julliard & has
played in the National Symphony.
We also got to hear Kenneth Cope as one of the
musical presenters. John Bytheway, Brad Wilcox,
& Emily Watts were among the speakers. The
concluding speaker was Kris Belcher & she
was fantastic. She had gotten cancer in her eyes
& is now completely blind. We were laughing
one minute & then in tears the next. It was
good enough that the women from our ward are
already planning ahead to go next year!
